i don't know if everyone is aware of this, but apprently in New York State, in order to be able to vote as a registered Party member, one must be registered as an affiliate of that Party one election before the election in which one plans to vote. in other words, if someone is registered as an Independent, or just registered without an affiliation and wants to vote for a Democrat in the primaries, you gotta register as a Democrat before the next election (which, I believe, is in November), in order to be able to vote in the primaries. so, y'know, register, or reregister now.
