the best NO SMOKING sign i have yet seen so far was at Stingers where i went yesterday with klingrap and jasminedreame
it said:

NO SMOKING
CALL SOMEBODY AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS STUPID LAW
and then it provided phone numbers of city representatives and city council, etc.

i am waiting for the emergence of the smoke-easys. the word of mouth, the address scratched on a matchbook, the "password." oh, for fuck's sake, if Kokies, which was like this bizzarre institution imported through a time warp from a 70s B-movie, succesfully operated in its old incarnation in the middle of Williamsburg for years, there has to be some bar somewhere, where a stranger can walk up to stranger and say "got a light?"

actually i thought of the smoke-easy independently...it was like a convergent evolution of the term! great minds think alike? i heard about you; how come you did not come drinking yesterday?

and yes, i write...more precisely, at the moment i am trying to edit my novel, which is turning out to be way harder than writing the damn thing.

and where's your icon from? i can't tell if it's something medieval or something modern-art-y.
