When I was flying to Berlin from JFK last month I saw this journal that looked interesting at the airport, but it was expensive (like $10/copy I think) and I had plenty of reading for the plane, so I didn't get it, but I wanted to check it out. The problem is I forgot the name. It was a one-word name that was, like, involving something with vision, like Monocle or Periscope, or maybe it was a pun on that, but in any case it was a journal about urbanism/urban living, it seemed to be in the Harper's/Mother Jones sort of category, there was an article about the most liveable cities in the world...anyone who has any ideas about what this journal could be called, please tell me!

Thanks in advance.

Well, Monocle is the new(ish) publication from the dude who brought you *Wallpaper, and the description fits, so...probably that. Unless you think that it wasn't Monocle for some reason.

here is a little article so you can see the graphics: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/eat-the-press/2007/02/14/reading-monocle-_e_41259.html

I'm positive it's Monocle. I have a subscription, and it's great.

i do recall hearing about that 'most livable cities" issue. i have this issue of monocle - digital vs analogue for photography is the cover:

maybe interesting for you to look over...?

it's a pricey magazine but lots of text is in it! also, you can subscribe to video/audio podcasts but it gets a bit too designer-y for me ("furniture fair in milan") kinda stuff. i'm not near that income category. yet. :P

Monocle.

I was taken in by this one. While pm a[[earance. the first magazine I'd pick up out of a stack, it's probably the last magazine I'd subscribe to.

Monocle. I keep seeing it and daring myself to buy it but it is pricey. It is much cheaper in America if you can get someone to buy you copies there instead.
