oh! here's a link of photos that show Ireland's abandon houses. there are so many out there just being re-digested by the earth... thought you might be interested in taking a look::

oh I love these, I'd never seen them before. One of these days I will have to make it over there and find these places for myself...

yeah, those are cool. i've passed a bunch of little house all over like that, but never went inside. you should! it appears that someone has now booted up an Abandoned Ireland site, but from what I saw it was fish eye overboard. hope it's not all like that.

1st of all, these are awesome. I'm shocked the curtains held up. I particularly enjoy the mirror and the reflection shots (and the hallway and the very first one).

2nd, and I think I've mentioned this before, I'm insanely jealous (ha ha, no pun intended). I want to go play in abandoned places as cool as this!

thanks! and there are cool abandoned places in California...although asylums are more of an East Coast/The South thing in the US.

The one called "and the ghosts"...I love it! I am in awe of these, they are gorgeous and eerie all at the same time. So beautifully done, I love how your mind sees it all and takes us with you!

Here is Forgotten Detroit (http://www.forgottendetroit.com/). I expect that seeing pictures is nothing like visiting places, of course. Given that many houses in Detroit are going for $16,000 down to $0, there should be many more "forgotten" buildings there soon.

I've seen it, but thank you. And yeah, it's been ahead of the house market implosion curve for years now.

Crazy how the outside does not look abandoned at all. Is someone still coming to trim the hedges and grass?

it's on a campus with a building that still serves some administrative purpose, so the grounds are pretty well-maintained at least in the front. In the back of the building it's a lot more overgrown.
