Impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich says he's boycotting his impeachment trial next week because the process is unfair, not because he's being defiant.

Just when you think he couldn't top himself anymore, he does!

Case in point:

"Launching an all-out media blitz as his impeachment trial draws near, Gov. Rod Blagojevich compared himself Friday to an honest, hardworking cowboy about to be lynched by a band of black-hatted political insiders eager to raise taxes. After keeping mostly out of the public eye since his arrest on federal corruption charges, Blagojevich is reversing course with a series of interviews and public statements portraying himself as the victim of vengeful lawmakers eager to toss him out of office...

...Blagojevich, a fan of Western movies, drew a long analogy Friday between his situation and that of a cowboy accused of stealing a horse. His story ended with one cowboy suggesting the accused thief be hanged, with the other suggesting he first be tried, then hanged."

Could he have his own TV show please? Something like "I'm with Busey"? I would TOTALLY watch that.

dr_memory and missionista showed me (and a couple of other people) a whole season of it about a year ago. Pretty amazing.

I actually am starting to love this guy. He's like a character from some bit of satirical fiction. I sometimes wonder if he's doing it all just to have a laugh. He's hilarious!
