I learned that kabouter means "gnome" in Dutch. Also my favorite Dutch word thus far is paraplu--umbrella!

That sounds like French: parapluie, anti-rain. French for rain is pluie, what's Dutch for rain?

ah, that's what it means - there was this awesome Dutch anarchist group called the Kabouters. i think they used to liberate garden gnomes.

I hadn't heard of it, but now that I googled it, I think I've seen something like that in stores...I will have to try it!

Unrelatedly, I finally got your order placed--the place I usually did prints through doesn't ship outside the US, and then I had to investigate a couple of back-up places to see who ships internationally and who had the kind of paper I like for prints, BUT I finally ordered it--it's going to be a bit larger than listed (11x14), hope that's ok.

I love luilekkerland! And I knew gezellig before...I think--or maybe I knew a German word similar to that.
