Also since it seems unlikely that Fionn will really learn Russian (unless he wants to when he is older), I started making a list of Russian children's books that I loved that I will want to share with him. As they are not translated into English, I will turn them into multi-part stories that I will tell night after night. I might use liverjournal to practice synopsizing them in English. The first ones I am thinking of are a series of books by a children's dystopian sci-fi writer Vladimir Krapivin, especially my two favorite novels he wrote--"Geese, Geese, Honk Honk Honk" and "Roadblock at the Anchor Field," both of which I found full texts of on the free Russian-language cyber-archives.
