I lost my cell phone

Dear livejournal genie,

Does anyone in my neck of the woods have an extra cell phone that they don't need that they want to sell me or swap or barter or whatever? I don't want to buy a full-price one, and I don't want another contract, and craigslist is my next step, but I figured I'd ask around first. I don't care how old and crappy it is as long as I can receive and make calls with it, and it would work with a T-Mobile SIM card.

This happened to me this summer, and the advice I got (which was moot by the time I got it) was EBAY, BABY, EBAY!

I have a pay-as-you-go that I'd be happy to send to you since I'm not using it at the moment. I'd need it back eventually. You could use it until you find your phone - or get a new one. People would have to call you long-distance, though, since it's got a 214 (Dallas, TX) area code.

Oh, and it's got no money on it :-/

I second ebay. I've gotten a few phones off there (because I lose/break them constantly). Just try to use a reputable seller/store vs. some kid selling his old phone.
