That is a wonderful picture. Issey Miyake?

I just had to google Issey Miyake and I am confused. What do you mean?

There is an Issey Miyake perfume that comes in a bottle that looks quite similar to the object in the window. I was taking a stab at what it was...

This reminds me of that scene from The double life of Veronique when Weronika views some of Krakow's (I think) buildings through a marble as she rides the train.

ps. Your baby is getting more and more adorable!

oh, I remember that scene. I should rewatch that movie. Aside from my love of Kislewski, I have always has an irrational fondness for works of art and literature with my name in the title. Aside from Paolo Coehlo's "Veronica Decides to Die," where my irrational compulsion towards works of art and literature with my name in the title proved to be an exercise in masochism of the highest order.

And yes, he looks less and less like a little frog and more and more like a little human every day.

Funnily enough, I didn't even make the Veronica connection! I think I refer to many ljers in my head primarily with ther lj-monikers, unless I have interacted with them more extensively in person.

I love Kieslowski too, and I find Idziak (who also did Blue) to be an amazing cinematographer. The double life came out recently on Criterion and I went ahead and bought it even though I generally don't buy DVDs anymore.

I have somehow managed to avoid reading Coehlo's Veronica, but maybe that's a good thing!

I refer you to my diatribe about "Veronica Decides to Die" in particular and Coehlo in general, that I wrote in an aggro mood back in the day:
