I don't think I've told you how much I love your abandoned buildings and urban decay. Makes me want to go exploring. Maybe I can go with you someday . . .

I bet there are places around where you live :) Where do you live, exactly? I know it's somewhere in the Bay Area. There is lots of stuff in California.

These are awesome. I wish I had an excuse to go visit abandoned buildings, but I'm not a photographer or a graffiti artist.

why do you need an excuse?

These are so amazing. I would love to see what kind of work you'd produce from a visit to Detroit.

I would love to see what kind of work I'd produce from a visit to Detroit, too :)

At some point I am going to plan a trip there, just to go exploring.

I absolutely love the first exterior shot. And that pic of annabelle through the washer door is downright creepy. Great shots.

Nice to see you got a shot of you favorite bird. :)

heh. and thanks! I love your pics, esp. the angle on the exterior and the detail of the moulding. They look great, polarizer or not.

I'm sure you've seen this, but just on the strange strange possibility you haven't, here (http://abandoned-places.com/) it is.

The sky in that first pic is awesome.

where do you find such fantastic urban decay? i want to go wandering in lowell sometime, i'm hoping i can find some stuff there...

I know a lot of people who are into this, so word of mouth, us trading locations, sometimes just driving around and scouting places out. I know there is lots of stuff in lowell (old mill towns are good for that), but I've never explored there myself, so I can't point you to specific locations there. But a lot of stuff that I post photos of in my journal is local, from around Boston. These photos were taken in Providence. If you want to email me at anthrochica [at] gmail [dot] com, I'd be happy to tell you about specific cool places, I'd just rather not post about them publically, since usually it is trespassing *grin*

also you way want to check out the website uer.ca--they have a locations database. if you don't have full membership in that community you can't see the locked/"hidden" database, which has lots more locations, but you can still see the public database, which isn't nearly as complete and thorough, but occasionally has some stuff that might be interesting. Just try searching by state and make sure you look and see if the building is still standing, if it's not it will be noted that it's demolished. But yeah, you can email me, and I can point you to places that you won't see on that database.

also, I think I know you, I believe I met you at [livejournal.com profile] redheadedmuse's fondue party around New Year's time and possibly another time at her house. :)
