Find the ironic sentence (hint: it is underlined). I think it's the tone of entitlement and shamelessness that bothers me the most. I am half-tempted to reply to him/her just to get their real information and through google-fu figure out where they are enrolled and notify their professor.

I need someone to write me a paper by this Thurs 5/17/2006. The paper will have to be 2500-3000 words (about 9-10 pages, double spaced, 12pt font) and am looking for someone who is a current Grad student (Although I may allow exceptions). You must be a History or Government major and have sufficient knowledge in both of these fields (as far as history goes, mainly the past 100-150 years). There is one stipulation: this paper has to be damn good, and I mean awesome, very proffesionally done, citations throughout, various sources, borderline publishable (although it won't be published). So only reply to this if you are capable of this kind of work. If this describes you and you have this kind of knowledge base, you can make some easy money. Will pay $400 if it is the kind of work described (I will be double checking citations to make sure it is original work). If interested, email me a sample of your work (preferably on a related topic) and why you are more than qualified to write this paper (tell me what other paper/research topics you have had in the past, tell me about what kind of knowledge you have in these fields, your educational background, and the top 2 or 3 historical events/topics in the past 150 years you have the most knowledge of). I will get back to you and let you know further details and more specifics about the exact topic as well.

That's amazing. He (seems like a "he", doesn't it?) expects quite a lot for his measly $400, doesn't he?

I know, he seemed like a "he" to me as well, but I was reluctant to put "he" because maybe I am being prejudiced. But I gotta say, the nature and formulation of the request maps very well onto the whole male socialization into entitlement thing.

Alternately, post it to the academic communities and let others do the work for you - as an ironic homage to the original poster, I think it has potential!

like, where were you thinking? I am open to suggestsions. Academics Anonymous?

Also like two ads below there is another ad for a 40 page GRADUATE RESEARCH PAPER.

I want to be the grad school vigilante.

Oh, GOOD LORD. Is there, like, an entire Craigslist section DEVOTED to plagerism now? (I, too, would love links to these, and my inner-vigilante is half tempted to just write to them to see if they're dumb enough to respond with their school address.) But, yeah, academics_anon, gradschool_hell, dissertators, gradlitgeeks ... those are the ones I was thinking of.

WOW. unfuckingbelievable-- to have such composed, prissy, picky prose when I can only imagine this person whiled away his/her time all semester at the Crimson instead of doing the paper, and now is up against the wall and totally screwed.

Do it! And by "do it," I mean find this person and rat them out. And, if you don't know if you want to, can you post a list to the original listing?

Also, I am pretty much unshockable since Gmail decided what I really needed was this (http://www.customessays.co.uk/dissertation.php?gclid=CI_J8c39toQCFRxSEAodByFaBg) based on whatever key words I had in my email to my girlfriend. Instant quote: they'll write me a 60 000 PhD dissertation in 60 days for £7200 if I want 2.1 standard, going up to £15840 if I want a First. One assumes that whoever proofreads the essays has yet to get around to proofing the website itself!

Ever read this?

In addition to the other elements that other people have described, what really rubs me the wrong way here is the phrase "easy money," which seems so loaded with classist connotations that I really hope this fucker's gender non-specific genetalia are nailed to the proverbial wall.

Yeah. If it's so easy, why don't you do it yourself? If I'm going to spend the time to write a good paper, I damn well want credit for it.

My first impression was that this was a PROFESSOR needing to get a paper done for a conference or publication! Because, as we all know, THEY CHEAT AS WELL!!!
