Mar. 22nd, 2006 07:37 amWhat is the proper way to take care of/clean a real partile/mold/asbestos mask, you know, the one with doublt cartridges that looks like Darth Veder x 2. I just got a real one and took it to Asbestostown last Saturday. (Before I had just used disposable particle masks or nothing at all and didn't have to worry about it). I just left it on the back seat of my car after the outing and forgot about it until today. Uh, should I have washed it or something? Should I do tha tnow?

Date: 2006-03-22 03:56 pm (UTC)i hate the constant fight again the asbestos. I dont do all i should, really i should be wearing an outer layer of clothes that i take off and put in a trash bag before i get into my car, and take off my shoes too cuz even if you wear your resp all the time if you get asbestos fibers on your clothes then sit in your car they are now floating around there, or if you go home tired like me and just pile the clothes on the floor the room is now contanimated too. arg

Date: 2006-03-28 03:15 pm (UTC)Do you think it's a big problem? When I end up at asbestos places I have always worn a mask, but I had clothes/shoes with, presumably, some residue hanging out in the living room for a few days before I was, like, "uh, I should put them outside and then wash them STAT"
I just wonder how bad that was.
