Today [livejournal.com profile] annabelle, her Young Man and myself took a walk off the beaten path (and onto the dilapidated train tracks, as the case may be).

Those are all awesome. Whatever camera you used is clearly better than mine...

I doubt it. These are from my slowly-dying digital camera that is old and nowhere near the quality I would like. The only way to get decent pictures on it is to leave it on "fine" setting (which produces pics high-res enough to at least print as 4x6s), but that means I can only take, like, 50 photographs before the memory card fills up.

what's yours?

Just your standard Canon SD400. Nothing special. Maybe you just take pictures in more color-rich locations than I do...

Great pics.

asleep upon a charred bed seems like an allusion to a Rent actor's audition for Blair Witch Project

oh thank you!

I am actually not quite sure they are capris...they don't taper. They are some variety of pirate/gaucho pants, I think...

I didn't see a sad hippo, I will have to look again right now.

without this entry, I would have never realized how comfortable train tracks must be. I'll have to lie on one the next time I have it available to me.

I know it's bats! but I keep seeing a person falling into an abyss...

Also I find it quite intersting, you writing that it must be comfortable to lie on the train tracks before I either posted or showed you the photo entailing just that...you must be some kind of precog.

But yes, indeed, they do make very comfortable lounging-about places:
on the tracks

except possibly not for poor [livejournal.com profile] annabelle...she is tied to the tracks! Will she get free before the train comes, possibly choo-chooing its way from the past?!
oh no! tied to the track!

I love the first two pix of the windows, the beauty of the shimmering colors mixed with the obvious run-down-ness.

thank you. The run-down buildings with bright colors are always my favorites.

zomg. I didn't know you knew [livejournal.com profile] hawver. Although I guess on second reading, you only know him peripherally. But I was *not* expecting to see him in these pictures. You do a lovely job with them, by the way.
