I love these. The first three are absolutely magnificent.

Are these all in the same area, or different buildings?

:)

Awesome. There are a bunch of abandoned warehouses along the old trolley tracks running from Davis Square that I think might make for some exciting photography.

Get off at the Davis T station following signs for the exit on College Ave. When you get out onto the street, walk around to the back of the station. Next to a Brook Brother's pharmacy is a bike path (in fact, the bike path continues on the other side of the square and goes all the way to Fresh Pond). The bike path used to be a set of trolley tracks which was paved over after the trolley to Boston stopped running. Follow the path East, and you'll cross Willow Ave and then come to the intersection with Cedar Street, where the paved portion of the path ends. On the other side of Cedar Street, you can see that old trolley tracks continue, though they are quite overgrown. You'll probably need long pants and boots (well, obviously so in the winter) but you can continue along these tracks and you'll pass some rather spooky abandoned warehouses and graffiti and whatnot. If you keep following the tracks, you'll eventually run into still-active train tracks coming, I believe, from South Station.

The syncopation of the vines and the reflected trees, particularly in the first image, is wonderful.

Why was the light on in that abandoned building?

so fucking beautiful!
this reminds me of this one flat I went to see, where the owner--psychologist--hung variations/ illustrations of the Rorschach test.
it was one of the coolest decorating ideas i've ever seen.
some of your photos (where they are in a series) could totally work like that--if only we had a spacious loft or what have you... we could have blown these up in frames--they would look quite amazing against the exposed red brick...

i am not coming to boston for new years--my parents are coming to new york.
but you are coming on the 5th, right?

dang

These are amazing. I'm just catching up on everybody else's posts, now that i'm soliciting input from my own, pardon me.

What kind of camera do you usually use? I'm just sputtering over the colour, wondering if my digital could ever compare.
