oh, you will love this: when I walked into the cottage on the remote lack in Canada that my family was renting, I saw there was ONE book in the place, presumably left there by the owners. Guess what book this was?

sweeeeeet! It was totally meant to be. I am so glad you enjoyed it! What was your favorite part? Did you see the Plot Twist (grandpa being dead long time) coming at all? Did you know there are, like, 7 sequels? The first 2 or 3 that actually focus on those kids are quite alright, I think they are called Petals in the Wind and If There Be Thorns or something like that. I actually didn't read FitA first, the first thing I read by VC was this creepy novel My Sweet Audrina which was creepy goth incest with a slightly larger helping of the supernatural if I am remembering correctly. Are you back in NYC?

i dunno. there is something about the shape of the shoe and the way it...um...punctuates the main subject of the picture (i.e. YOU!).

it's wicked, the more i look at the shoe (and the way it is profiled against the sky), the more i think it was the most perfect thing to have happened to the photo. it gives *direction* and integrity to yr swinging on the swing action.
