ok, I feel a little better. Not well, but I am no longer a blob of misery. My fever is down, and although the cough has become more persistent, overall I feel OK. Really tired, as is always the case after a prolonged fever, but OK. [livejournal.com profile] totalvirility brought over some organic free-range chicken broth and organic cranberry juice last night, and then I actually developed some appetite and ordered a salad from Black Betty's. Head still hurts a little, but aside from the exhaustion, when I take a couple of Advils (TM), I feel more or less normal. I don't think I am quite capable of doing things that need to get done yet, like going to B&H to get a tripod, or laundry, but hopefully by tomorrow...
Also I have thought about it and thought about it, and decided that the culprit of the illness for both [livejournal.com profile] nuncstans and me were those samples we tried at Kiehls. B/c we got sick pretty much at the exact same time, which makes it unlikely that one of us gave it to the other, especially since she does not smoke anymore, I don't bum drags of cigarettes off her (yes, it's an annoying habit for all my friend, I know), and I can't remember us sharing anything except her trying my lemonade at Diner several hours before we both started feeling crappy, which is too short of an incubation period for anything except possibly Ebola.
[livejournal.com profile] remsaverem, you should still come tomorrow, as long as you don't mind that I probably won't be able to drink for a couple more days.
Now, onto last night's "Seventh Heaven." WTF? the whole episode focuses on Matt and his Jewish Wifey and their first day of hospital rounds. Now I know my med school knowledge is limited as I have never, ever been interested in it, or the primitime shows about attractive actors playing med school students. But are med school students even supposed to start rotation during their second year in med school? Are they supposed to draw blood for the first time on a patient? Because I thought they were supposed to do it on each other. Are they supposed to be tested on their knowledge on their first day in situations where the patient is dying? Why does everyone refer to Matt as Dr. Camden? Why is it that he can't figure out how to turn off his cell phone or set it to vibrate the entire length of the episode (I thought he was supposed to be the smart one, getting into Columbia Medical School and all), and eventually has to dodge calls from his stalking family by throwing it in the garbage with blood-covered gloves and needles, and yet it is returned to him at the end of the episode?
