May. 6th, 2002 02:21 pmwhile unpacking i found an old journal last night. i keep pretty much all of my old journals in the same place, but this one went MIA a while ago. so i was reading through the entries, a lot of which were me writing down my dreams (more so than i usually do) and reading them a year and a half later, patterns emerge more clearly. i should start writing them down again.
i spent yesterday in edward scissosrhands-suburbia in new jersey, where my parents are staying with their friends. we went to this sculpture park, which was nice, and i guess the guy who built it was obsessed with monet, so there are all these life-size mnnequens of people from monet's paitings sitting around and drinking tea around the park. it was bordering on kitsch, but it did not quite cross over into that.
in other news, i am thinking of going to oberlin for commencement. even though i swore i would never again do that, but a lot of my friends are going, and i could use a weekend away from new york...we'll see...charlie maybe wants to rent a car, if that happens, i will probably go. otherwise, i don't want to fly.
