vroom in the system
Mar. 1st, 2002 05:51 pmi really can't wait until i can unpack and organize my books. i am really messy w/r/t pretty much everything, but i am obsessive about my books because they are my most valuable things. plus, today as i was digging through my unpacked boxes lining the sides of my room to find a book i realized that i have assembled quite a collection of anthropology books, and that i am on my way to having one of those organically acquired over-the-years anthro books collections tha tmy professors have. some classic heavy-hitters like levi-strauss and malinowski and faction thinkers like marvin harris and lotsa stuff on gender and sexuality. it's neat. i like my books. i wish i had more money so i could have more books.
this is my essay on money and books.
the end.
also i got "burnt by the sun" today in the mail. i just discovered this neat option of buying used things on amazon, so i bought it for $4, figuring since it's my favorite movie it's about time i owned it. i am very pleased.
am a bit hung over today from several shorts of tequila mixed with cranberry and lime juice, yummy and the only form i can drink tequila in (can't stomach it straight...anymore) but hard to gauge how much alcohol is going in, so anyway, just taking a break at work from transcibing more tapes on anti-depression drugs.
i've got the Gorillaz song stuck in my head from last night..."it happened, i'm feeling glad, i got sunshine in a bad, i'm useless but not for long, the future is coming on, it's coming on, it's coming on..."
