Apparently it is now inappropriate for the media to engage in political reportage.

NEW YORK - CBS News has shelved a "60 Minutes" report on the rationale for war in Iraq because it would be "inappropriate" to air it so close to the presidential election, the network said on Saturday.

cbsnews is turning into a walking bush repub pinata. first, there was bush I's "manly" attack on rather back in the '88 election (both a political move for that election and payback for rather's "cheekiness" during the nixon admin.), then there was the reagan movie, then last week's "forged" document (perfect follow-up to the smear boat campaign diversion), and now this. the "snake bite" of the "forged" document worked perfectly.
