Okay, I know there's gotta be some website that helps you create a travel route. Like, what's the fastest way to get between two points on the globe when there are no flights (even with connections) between the two places listed on websites like expedia and travelocity. I'm looking for something like mapquest driving instructions, only with an international scope and in terms of airplane routes.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm good with finding cheap tickets in a pinch, (read: next day transatlantic travel) but it sounds like you're talking about crazy exotic shit!

Date: 2004-06-08 04:02 am (UTC)Funny, my best friend in high school grew up in Buenos Aries. Because of her regular trips back, I've developed a very interesting mental database of 'cities that connect to cities that connect to Buenos Aries.'
For example. It was often cheaper to fly from (our town of) Grand Rapids, to Chicago, to Miami, to Nicaragua, to Spain, to Laos, to Buenos Aries. Or something like that.
"Lhasa is linked with Beijing, Chonqing, Chengdu, Xi'an and Kathmandu by airlines. The Xining Lhasa and Chengdu-Lhasa highways also provide major accesses to Lhasa."

Beijing airport code = PEK
Buenos Aries has three airports, none of which I know anything about. From AEP, however, I was able to find a return flight to Beijing.
Be ASSERTIVE with your Google searches!

Date: 2004-06-08 03:09 am (UTC)I've tried to find a similar site before, but no luck. There is no central database for these things... American consolidation sites (such as orbitz) can only access American airline databases and their partners abroad.
I've travelled a lot, and believe that specialized travel agents are the best bet.

If you run into my friend Anya somewhere in a Tibetan monastery there, give her a holla.

Date: 2004-06-08 03:22 am (UTC)ther eis a tavel agent in the city which does alot of tix for Argentina. I've bought tix from them 2x.. It is called ANA travel and is in the 30's.
I'm sure they are listed.
I think expedia has a multiple destination feature. You might want to check on the website for Aerolinas Argentina or Lan Chile.
Lan Chile's planes are a little nicer.
