It depends. I have qualms with anything over $20, unless the design is fucking awesome (I walked away from the Morrissey merch table because the shirts were $30... Yes...)

Do you have a picture of the shirt?

No...I saw it in that overpriced "thrift"/vintage store on 1st Ave and 12tth. They have a whole bunch of shirts of random bands and musicians that don't normally make it onto T-shirts.

I have to qualify my "yes" with "it better be a damn nice shirt for $25". Leonard Cohen is great, no doubt about it, but 25 clams is a lot of cash for a T.

I always get Leonard Cohen and Lenny Kravitz confused because, like, they're both musicians with really Jewish-sounding "Len" names.

Then again, I also get Simon Cowell confused with Colin Powell.

Well, they are both about the love (Leonard and Lenny, that is).

Lenny is all, like glistening and muscled and be-dreaded and Leonard has a low rumbling voice and is all, like, "I'm your man." In my opinion, Leonard is sexier, or at least was at his prime.

As per Cowell/Powell, at this point I think we would be a lot better off with Simon Cowell as our secretary of state. He'd tell them what's what!

Do you confuse the two John Edwards too?

well, there is John Edwards of "Crossing Over: with John Edwards" and John Edwards the former DP nominee/current VP contender. I am sure there are more, though.

Band/musician shirts are not cool unless there's something reeeaallly cool about the design. I say no.

where's the option that says "$25 for a t-shirt? are you crazy?"

I sort of intended for that one to be convered under the general "god, no."

I agree that $25 is excessive, but when I stroll past the chichi boutiques on the Lower East Side where pink T-shirts dolls-and-guns aesthetic have $120 dollar tags, all of a sudden forking $25 for Leonard seems less obscene. I should be aware that it's the curve messing with my head, though.
