lapsedmodernistmore hours at the museum volunteering for the film festival today, then snuck away for a little while to watch a film about the amato opera in new york on Bowery, about halfway through realized that that was the opera company where claire's gay black-sheep-of-the-family ex-lawyer uncle sings in carmen every eyar after he freaked out and sold his law firm, at least i think that's what happenned, then it turned out i was sitting next to a man who sings there too and knows him so it was like more vortexy effect.
just finished a paper on jean rouch's "chronicles of a summer" which i think may be the most subversive film i have ever seen which is cool.
whatever, i could write a thesis on that film, but i had only like 7 pages...so i think it came off too pretentious because it was not distilled enough.
gonna vegetate at home tomorrow night.
