as part of my ongoing sociological/phenomenological experiement with zeitgeist, with i was dressed so 50s today that on my way to school i could only listen to The Crystals and The Ronnettes. and it was swell.

dude, the bandana was because i did not wash my hair and it looked like crap, and i just looked cracked out after the three hours of sleep. also, it's not rosie the riveter. it has japanese motifs on it, and during rosie the riveter times would have probably landed me in an internment camp. it's an "exotic" bandana, which is probably bad of me as an anthropologist, but at least i am not walking around my department with an "authentic" Soviet Army hat complete with the red satanic pentagram, ahem, i mean star.

it's not *hatred* per se--he is more of an allergen than a pathogen--i just think it's really fucked up and i hate the hat and it makes me marvel at how un-self-aware people are. he is the same one i thought you should interview for your movie, so obviously i don't HATE him, y'know?
