i just almost fell asleep in the shower, but not quite, i just stood under the hot water for almost forty minutes, with my eyes closed, in this homeostasis of hot water and intense exhaustion, the kind that can feel exquisite when you succumb to it.

and now i am eating apples and cheese. fuji apples and gouda cheese. now they are no longer abstract.

and i am so tired that i can't fix the pillow behind my head, even though i know that it would feel more comfortable if i did.
