lapsedmodernistrene risque is gonna play at luxx again on feb.28th. they just played at joe's pub last week and were amazing. i am such a groupie. if they are an ironic pop-rock band, does that make me an ironic groupie?
also, Star Wars holiday special is arguably the most messed up production ever made. we concluded that it was written by many writers, all on different drugs. if was fun identifying which scenes corresponded to which drugs.
also, i think it would be a lot of fun to refer to everyone as "comrade." esp. in academic papers. like, i could write papers in which without any explanation as to why i was doing that, i could write "as comrade foucault writes in 'history of sexuality'" or "the applications of comrade aristotle's principles of logic" etc. shit, then would i sound like MIM notes? see http://www.etext.org/Politics/MIM/mn/
i just think it would be funny. this originiated yetserday when i was talking about barthes' "camera lucida" and claire thought i said "comrade lucida" and i thought she thought i said "comrade lucidoff" and it was like a pinkie game of broken telephone. then everybody became a comrade.
