lapsedmodernisti was walking to the bedford ave stop on the L today, when i see this dorky, pimply pointdexter-type guy standing on the corner, and enunciating (rather than rapping) eminem's lyrics to "superman."
him: "wouldn't piss on fire to put you out. aaaam i too nice? buy you ice." (seemingly forgets the next line and furrows his brow in concentration, or like he has to take a shit, then skips the next line altogether) "what you tryin' to be, my new wife? what're you" (another pause accompanied by facial grimaces) "mariah? fly through twice."
me: you are NOT eminem!
him: get your drunk ass on the runway slut!
me: it's HO, not slut, you idiot! and you are NOT eminem!
him: "fuck YOU bitch!"
me: "fuck YOU asshole!"
does that qualify as a new york moment?
